2016 Baydogs Mentoring Program Launched!

It's that time of year again to launch our annual mentoring program for club members. Mentoring is an opportunity get guidance and support from experienced triathletes. Mentors are not coaches but rather a guide on the side that you can use as a sounding board, for motivation or accountability or whatever parameters you and your mentoring partner agree to. We cover all the details in the Mentoring Orientation on Tuesday March 29 from 6:30-9:00.

Just like our sport, we are always learning and adapting the structure to meet the varied needs of our members.

This year we have added peer mentoring groups to the format and within each group we aim to have 2 mentors and a maximum of 5 mentees. The proposed group categories are below. If there is a need to adjust the categories based on applicants, we will do so as much as possible.

    ○ New to triathlon

    ○ 70.3 Muskoka

    ○ 70.3 Barrelman

    ○ Full Iron distance

    ○ Women 55+

We are also keeping our 1:1 mentoring option open for those that prefer an individual learning environment.
